All driftwood used to create this artwork is assembled on Cape Cod. Each whale is varnished and waxed and can be used inside and outside.
I don't use a pencil to pre-draw the shape of the whale; driftwood suggests the shape of the whale hidden by the ocean when I cut it out. And then, the whale tells his stories and chooses suitable lighthouses and houses.
